Late night studio

You know you've been in studio too long when...

- you type AutoCAD commands without thinking
- you consume more caffeine than water
- you limit your water intake to keep from having to go to the bathroom
- your idea of exercise is rollerblading in the atrium
- “taking a break” means going to the coffee shop to do more work
- you think of time in terms of days before the review
- you think of time in terms of hours before the review
- any drug sounds good
- you have more than one article of unused clothing on your desk
- you have your toothbrush in studio
- you haven't showered in days
- one beer will give you a buzz because you haven't slept
- you start to consider the feelings of your drawings
- you buy an extra alarm clock to ensure you get up in the mornings
- you buy another alarm clock that does not limit your snooze time
- time spent snoozing in the morning exceeds that spent in class
- “C's get degrees” makes perfect sense
- you can't remember the last time cooking at home
- you concentrate more on structural details than breathing
- when 2am is early
- you know of 30 internet radio sites and you're sick of all of 'em
- you think the world would be better if you could make it with Photoshop
- your impersonations of professors sound better than them
- you dream of three-dimensional spreadsheets
- your mouse-clicking finger nerve endings go numb
- you begin making silly lists of worthless things
- you begin impersonating Abercrombie and Fitch models
- you drink multiple energy drinks to stay up all night... just for fun
- you've been asked mulitple times to have your sleeping bag borrowed
- you crush cans by hand to release frustration
- you turn models into bionic arms
- you wake up at your computer and find you've been typing nonsense in your sleep

Craft Desk01

Craft Desk01

I finally had a chance to put my craft room together!

I purchased an "over the sink" shelf from Amazon; it had the dowel for a paper towel holder which I'll use for my spools of ribbon. It also had a handy pull-out wire basket, which will come in handy for larger items that need tucked away. I nailed it to the desk top so it wouldn't move around on me.

I hung clip boards from metal hooks that screw into the wall - these will be used for ideas/inspiration, or works-in-process so I can keep any instructions/papers/stickers/embellishments all in one place. Eventually these will be covered with paint/paper and decorated a bit more craftily... :)
